- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 cups thinly sliced Yukon Gold potatoes
- 1 small onion diced
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt & pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Brown ground beef; add onions and seasonings.
Stir in soup and milk, simmer for 2–3 minutes.
Layer potatoes, beef mixture, and cheese in a greased baking dish.
Repeat layers, ending with cheese.
Cover with foil and bake 45 mins.
Uncover, bake 15–20 mins until bubbly.
Let rest 10 mins before serving.
Notes:
Parboil potatoes for faster baking. Swap beef with turkey or plant-based protein if preferred.
